Episode 38 - From Doctor to Entrepreneur to Venture Capitalist: A Journey of Solving Problems

What causes someone to go from medical doctor to entrepreneur to venture capitalist?

Few people succeed in any of those fields. This episode’s guest excelled in all three.

Dr. Ola Brown is the founder of the investment firm Healthcap that focuses on venture capital and infrastructure building across Africa.

Prior to that, she worked as a medical doctor. Then she founded Flying Doctors Nigeria, a tech-enabled urgent care services marketplace before co-founding her first fund: Greentree Investment Company.

Over the years, she has received numerous professional certificates in economics, business, and public partnerships. She speaks and teaches regularly, and offers free lectures on her Youtube channel.

She joins us today to talk about investing in Africa’s infrastructure.
